The bridges are the one linking Ilupeju Avenue with Poly Road in Ado-Ekiti and Uso village to Ado Afao road

The development has left many residents, including civil servants, stranded, as they expressed fear over how to cross the fast-flowing floodwater.

Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that many residents in the two areas were unable to return home yesterday, while those who set out early this morning for their various places of work and businesses were also unable to cross the torrential floodwater.

Residents who gathered at the scene appealed to the government to urgently intervene and address the persistent flooding affecting many parts of Ado-Ekiti.

They called for immediate measures to restore the affected bridges and provide a lasting solution to the recurring flooding in the state capital.
