GOVERNOR OYEBANJI RETAINS GOVERNING COUNCILS OF STATE OWNED TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has announced that members of the governing councils of all state-owned tertiary institutions will be retained for another term after their current tenure expires.

The governor made the declaration in Ado-Ekiti while hosting the Governing Council of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, BOUESTI, at his office. He said the decision was based on the councils’ outstanding achievements and aimed at discouraging lobbying for appointments.

Governor Oyebanji also pledged to construct internal roads within BOUESTI and provide necessary teaching and learning materials to enhance academic activities at the institution.

Earlier, Chairman of the BOUESTI Governing Council, Professor Oladipo Aina, commended the governor for his investment in education, noting that the university has recorded significant success and remains a source of pride.

Professor Aina said BOUESTI continues to produce competent graduates contributing to the socio-economic development of the country. He congratulated the governor on his victory in the recent governorship election, attributing it to Oyebanji’s purposeful leadership and people-oriented programmes.
