Ekiti United Sacks Coaches, Players Over Poor Results

The Management of Ekiti United Football Club has dissolved the Technical crew of the team, led by Coach Kehinde Anjorin, with immediate effect.

Secretary of the club, Elder Deji Olowolafe announced this after a crisis meeting of the club’s stakeholders in Ado Ekiti.

The meeting was consequent upon poor results of the team in recent times including the embarrassing 5-0 loss in a league match in Lagos on Monday.

According to Elder Olowolafe, a former Coach of the club, Ayodeji Ayeni has been appointed to handle the team till the end of the season.

Among other drastic measures, 13 players have also been sacked, thereby reducing the players on the club’s roster to 25.
