TRAGEDY: Family Of Seven Found Dead In Osun Community

Residents of Ogbeso via Oke-Suna area, Apomu, Isokan Local Government Area of Osun State are now living in fear as a family of seven people were found dead in their house in the early hours of Tuesday.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the house which is located in a new area of the community was occupied by a mother of six children.

One man identified as a Policeman named Saheed who was also a victim was said to be the new husband of the woman who was a divorcee.

A resident of the community named Korede told Radio Nigeria correspondent that the remains of the seven family members were found in the house in the morning.

He explained that out of eight residents of the house, one narrowly escaped death but was found very weak when the residents of the area got to know the unfortunate incident.

Another source from the community said residents of the area had to flee for fear of unknown because they suspected that the seven victims could have died of poison.

Confirming the incident, Spokesperson for Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola told newsmen that a family of seven were killed and one of them was rescued who is now responding to treatment.

She said the corpses of the deceased had been deposited at the at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
