Service Chiefs Celebrate Sallah With Wounded Soldiers.

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Farouq Yahaya says the Service has initiated quality welfare packages to boost the confidence of troops across different theatres of operation in the country. 

General Yahaya stated this at a Sallah luncheon with wounded and recuperating troops of Operation Hadin Kai at Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri. 

Represented by Chief of Policy and Plans Nigerian Army, Major General Anthony Omozoje, the Army Chief said similar support is being extended to wounded in-action personnel as well families of fallen heroes. 

He reaffirmed his commitment to rewarding excellence, gallantry and professional conduct amongst troops.

“I will continue to conduct regular operational visit to formations across the country to assess our state of readiness towards the fulfilment of my vision. It is my resolve to rejuvenate the lost traditions, customs and ethics of the Nigerian Army ” General Yahaya stressed.

Lieutenant General Farouq Yahaya announced the approval of brand new Hilux vehicles as official cars to Army Warrant Officers and promised to scale it down to Regimental Sargent Majors.

He assured that the Nigerian Army would continue to employ effective means to tackle emergening security challenges bedeviling the county. 

Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Isiaka Amao represented by Chief of Policy and Plans Air Vice Marshal Charles Ohwo said the Service would soon take delivery of additional reconnaissance and combat platforms to effectively defeat the menace of insurgency in the North East region. 

He expressed hope that sanity would be restore in all the theaters of operation.

Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Christopher Musa said about sixty two combatants, non-combatants and their families have so far surrendered which signify that the insurgents have been degraded.
