ASUU STRIKE: FG sets up committee to resolve contentious areas

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has set up a 14 man committee to further look at the additional demands of ASUU especially areas where there have been no censuses to find amicable way to resolve the ongoing strike.

The areas are the ‘’no work no pay’’ and that the issue of remuneration for University lecturers.


The committee which is shared by the minister is to conclude negotiation and submits its resolution to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Briefing newsmen at the National Universities Commission, Venue of the meeting in Abuja, the Director Press Federal Ministry of Education Mr Ben Bem Goong said the 14 man committee is made up of Chairmen of council, vice chancellors and other stakeholders.

Mr Goong said the integrity test on the ASUU proposed payment platform, the University Transparency and Accountability solution UTAS has been concluded and will be president to the public.
