The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu, has reportedly settled for Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate.
Some stakeholders in the country had warned the former Lagos State Governor against picking a Muslim running mate, as Muslim-Muslim ticket would sideline the Christians.
Senator Shettima who is currently the representative of Borno Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber, was a two-term Governor of Borno State.
President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Bola Tinubu and Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State are currently holding meeting where the APC Presidential Candidate is expected to inform the President of his choice of running mate.
