Recent Poor Results: Super Eagles drop In latest FIFA Rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped 8 places in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday, 20th June, 2024.

The Nigerian side was ranked 30th in April after their superb finish in the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

But the recent performance in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa and Benin Republic has affected the rating of the team

Super Eagles not only slipped in the World ranking they also dropped to the 5th position in Africa.

Nigeria now ranked 38th in the World and 5th in Africa, with Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt occupying the first 3 spots in the continent.
