Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke could not observe the rakat prayers for the Eid-El-Kabir celebration today as pandemonium broke out between supporters of the ruling Party, PDP and those of the opposition APC, at the Osogbo Eid prayer ground where the Governor was supposed to observe the prayer.
The Governor left after the arranged space for him was occupied by the Former Senate Spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Bashir who had earlier arrived the venue despite attempts by some Muslim leaders to wade in and arrange another space for him.
Meanwhile, the Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheikh Animasahun led the remaining worshippers at the Eid ground to observe the prayers for Eid-El-Kabir celebration, as some faithful had to leave the ground due to fear of another attacks.
Meanwhile, a Radio Nigeria reporter who was on ground reports that there was no assassination attempt on the Governor as being rumoured.
At the time of filing this report Osun State Police command was yet to come up with any official position.
