Resolve Issues Surrounding Strike In Universities: Ansar Ud Deen President Tells FG.

The National President of Ansar Ud Deen Society of Nigeria, Dr Abdul Rafiu Zanni wants the federal government to resolve the current impasse with the striking university unions to ensure industrial harmony in the institutions of higher learning.

Dr. Zanni said in a Salah message that it was disheartening that the activities at the nation’s universities have been paralysed since government prioritized other sectors at the expense of education.

He noted that the federal government and the unions should reach a compromise, taking into consideration the realities of the nation’s economy to enable the students return to classrooms.

The Islamic leader equally stressed the need for government to initiate short term measures that would cushion the adverse effect of rising cost of goods and services on Nigerians.

Dr. AbdulRafiu Zanni called for the enforcement of stiffer penalties on anybody caught involved in insurgency and other Criminal acts to stem the alarming rate of insecurity confronting the country.
