The special Adviser on Political Matters to the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, senator Babafemi Ojudu has charged Governor Biodun Oyebanji not to relent in his efforts at delivering good governance to the people of Ekiti state.
Senator Ojudu who gave the charge during a courtesy call on Governor Boidun Oyebanji in Ado Ekiti, said impressive leadership qualities and laudable achievements of the governor informed his visit.
He said the governor’s dexterity in political terrain had endear him to top politicians in the state, especially those from the opposition parties, with a call on him not be distracted by some naysayers who were waiting for him to faulter in his transformation drive.
“Everything that has come out of the state since he became governor has been positive, I have been around for the past five days now, it has been all praises. PDP came, APC came , a few Labour party people also came, it’s like we have one party state here now.
..he is serving the people of the state and he is serving them very well…and quiet a minimal of times, I have seen some of the things he has done. for me these are very positive signals, again reaching out to leaders everywhere, both those who supported him and those who did not support him. That to me, is the essence of leadership. He is a governor for everybody”. He said.
Senator Ojudu assured Mr Oyebanji that he would give him the support needed to record more success in his administration, saying moving Ekiti to an enviable height is a collective responsibility.
“I have met with some Kings since I came back and the kind of things I heard them saying about him are very encouraging. Both the elites and the poor, everybody seems to be happy and the fact that he is been able to be creative enough to find resources, to find some of the things that cushion hardship. So, to me, it is another plus for his Excellency” He submitted
Responding, Governor Biodun Oyebanj who described Senator Ojudu’s visit to his office as a great honour and a pointer to the fact that his efforts are well appreciated, said he would not fail in leveraging the expertise of great leaders towards moving the state forward.
