Four out of the seven man gang who killed an officer of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps in Ekiti State, Mr Segun Ayebulu have been arrested.
The chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, Mr Micheal Ogungbemi confirmed this to newsmen on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti.
He explained that the supsects were arrested by Local Security Network codenamed Operation Eradicating Bandits at the Borders of Ajoni Communities.
The council boss said the local security operatives arrested the Suspects while patrolling the border areas between Ekiti and Kwara states.
Mr Ogungbemi alleged that the suspects had confessed their involvement in killing of the NSCDC officer, Segun Ayebulu and kidnapping of his family members.
He added that two AK47 riffles were part of items recovered from the suspects, who are presently being detained at the police station in Ikole Ekiti.
It would be recalled that Ayebulu’s family members were recently attacked by some gunmen along Oke Ako- Ajowa road where a civil Defence officer, Segun Ayebulu was shot dead while his brother, Oyewole Ayebulu and two children were kidnapped.
The Suspected Kidnappers later demanded thirty million naira random.
The victims were released few days after allegedly paid five million naira.
