The British government has announced measures to cut migration into the United Kingdom.
Interim Minister, James Cleverly told Parliament that one of the measures is to raise the minimum salary required for foreign workers to be eligible for work visa.
Cleverly explained that the proposal would result in three hundred thousand fewer people entering the United Kingdom in the next few years.
The Minister added that the measures, which are being programmed to commence early next year, would exempt health and social care workers, who themselves would be prevented from bringing family members.
He also announced increase in the minimum income for family visas and he confirmed restrictions on International students bringing dependents into United Kingdom.
The whole policy was confirmed by British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak in a tweet where he said “Immigration is too high, today we are taking radical action to bring it down.”
