Nigeria Under 17 women Team Flamingos have defeated their counterparts from New Zealand by 4 goals to nothing.
The match was decided at Pandit Jawaharlar Nerlu Stadium in India.
The first goal came in the 17 minutes of the first half through O.Bello while M Elliotti got the second goal in the 35 minutes of the match
Two goals were scored in the second half of the encounter through T Afolabi (78) minutes and E.Ettim scored the last goal in the extra time of the game (96).
Nigeria lost the opening match to Germany.
Nigeria’s Flamingos next match is against Chile.
New Zealand has crashed out of the tournament though with one match to go, having lost her two matches.
Nigeria must win her next match against Chile in order to qualify for the knock out stage.
Germany will later today take on Chile.
