Over two hundred and fifty pupils from public primary schools in Ise/Orun local government have received basic school needs from a Non Governmental Organization, “Tutumade Adeyeye Foundation”.
Speaking at the distribution of the items to the benefiting pupils in Ise-Ekiti, the President and Founder of the N.G.O, Miss Tutumade Adeyeye said the programme was targeted at indigent children whose parents could not afford the materials.
Miss Adeyeye noted that her organization choose to intervene in education as a way of helping government to develop the sector and the importance of education in the society.
In a remark, the Education Secretary, Ise/Orun local government, Mr. Temitope Alonge commended Tutumade Adeyeye Foundation for investing in the future of the young ones.
Also speaking, the Chairperson, Association of Primary school Headmasters of Nigeria, Ise/Orun branch, Mrs. Beatrice Tolani appreciated Miss Adeyeye for providing the materials to the pupils, saying it will have positive impact on them.
The items distributed include school uniforms, sandals, bags and writing materials, the gesture which two of the pupils, Emmanuel Blessing and Kolawole Ayomide commended, with a prayer to God to reward the facilitator.
