Tinubu Condemns Plateau Killings, Directs Security Agencies to Arrest Culprits

President Bola Tinubu has described as primitive and heinous, the Christmas Eve attacks in some parts of Plateau State, which left about 100 persons dead.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu condemned the attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local government areas, calling the attackers envoys of pain, death and sorrow, who will not escape justice.

The President directed security agencies to move to the areas and do everything possible to apprehend the culprits.

While condoling with Government and People of Plateau State, the Nigerian leader directed immediate mobilisation of relief materials for survivors as well as medical treatment for the wounded.

Fifteen communities across the two local governments were attacked by bandits on Christmas eve, leaving about 100 persons dead and many injured while at least 200 houses, 60 motorcycles and ten vehicles were all burnt.
