TEACHERS’ DAY: SEE WHAT EKITI NUT DID FOR MEMBERS

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT  Ekiti State Wing has congratulated teachers in the state for witnessing this year’s teachers’ day.

The NUT chairman in Ekiti State, Mr Samuel Olugbesan gave the commendation the  in Ado Ekiti during a reception organised to celebrate 2020 Teachers’day.

Mr Olugbesan commended them for their contributions to educational development in the the state and charged them to do more.

He  used the forum to commend Governor Kayode Fayemi for his contributions to the education sector through prompt payment of salary, renovation of the schools among others but urged him to do more to motivate teachers.

He promised that teachers would not relent in their efforts to give quality education to their students.

At the programme, Mr Olugbesan announced that an  Ekiti State teacher Mr. Olaoluwa Asubiojo was announced as the  best secondary school teachers in the country.

In an interview, some of the teachers commended the leadership of Mr Samuel Olugbesan for operating open door policy and for giving priority to their welfare.

At the Programme, the teachers dined and wined together in one accord.

Highpoint of the occasion was cultural dance which promotes teaching profession.
