Task Force Seals-Off Four Petrol Stations in Ekiti

The Petroleum Task Force set up by Ekiti State Government has sealed off four erring petrol stations within the state.

The affected stations are Olawuwo in Iworoko Ekiti, Awesu in Iyin Ekiti, Muftro, Oye Ekiti and BTR Ayede Ekiti.

Chairman of the task force, Mr Deji Adesokan, known as Jaru, sealed off the stations over unwholesome and fraudulent practices while monitoring fuel situation in Ekiti State..

According to him, the four Petrol stations have adjusted their metres thus short-changing members of the public by two litres.

He explained that for every ten litres purchased from the filling stations, customers get value of eight litres losing two litres to the affected petrol stations.

Mr. Adesokan said the affected petrol stations were sanctioned to serve as lesson to others who are in the habit of engaging in sharp practices.

The Task Force Chairman pointed out that some other petrol stations had been placed on watch and would be sanctioned if found guilty.
