Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived Abidjan, the Capital City of Cote D’Ivoire, ahead of the 34th African Cup of Nations, which gets underway this weekend.
Players, Technical crew and officials of the team were all clad in white attire, with a touch of green and black caps to match.
The team spent just a week in Dubai, UAE for camping during which time they played two matches, a 12-0 win over a local team and a 0-2 loss to Guinea, another team taking part in the AFCON.
The team left Dubai on Tuesday, 9th January, 2024 for Lagos from where they travelled to Abidjan on Wednesday, 10th January.
Players like Wilfed Ndidi, Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi among others, will miss the competition due to injury while Kelechi Iheanacho is to join the team in Abidjan, after an injury scare.
Boniface, who had already been registered for the competition before his injury, has been replaced by Terem Moffi.
Nigeria will play in Group A alongside host, Cote D’Ivoire, Equatorial-Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
The competition holds between January 13 and February 11, 2024.
