A Cross Section Of Stakeholders In Ekiti State have called on political parties to reduce their cost of nomination form for various elective offices in order not to discourage credible people from contesting.
The stakeholders who spoke with a reporter of progress FM in Ado Ekiti stressed that the cost of such forms, in both APC and PDP was outrageous.
In his view, a political scientist, Dr Daniel Adeleye said the fees were two high such that it can deny Nigeria of rights to achieve a political aspiration.
Also, a legal practitioner, Mr Bayo Alao argued that the huge cost would encourage corruption, urging political parties to have their rethink on the issues.
Contribution, a public Affairs Analyst, Mr. Ayodele Olusola said the fees would particularly discourage youths from contesting in next year elections.
For some youths who bear their minds on the issue saw the current fee was not justifiable and against the young to run bill sign by the president.
