A Former Member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Bamidele Faparusi, has solicited adequate backing for Governor Biodun Oyebanji- led administration to accomplish the task of building a virile Ekiti, where every citizen could enjoy dividends of democracy unhindered.
Honorable Faparusi stated this in Ado Ekiti while appearing as Guest on a special interview programme on Radio Nigeria Progress 100.5 FM.
The former Federal Lawmaker emphasized that lending support to the state government would engender an environment where development could thrive across the thematic areas of the economy and help in making Ekiti a model in terms of socio economic growth.
He commended the administration of Governor Oyebanji for its achievements in the areas of completion of Airport project, several Roads construction, empowerment of youths through Agriculture, provision of Educational facilities, employment of graduates into civil service, provision of skill acquisition programmes, security, among others.
He extolled President Bola Tinubu for working assiduously to stem the tides of criminal activities in the country through collaborative efforts with foreign powers.
He said the spiraling cases of banditry, kidnapping and other forms of insurgencies, had crippled the economy of many villages in the northern part of the country, while lots of people were counting numbers of relatives lost to the ugly incidents.
Honourable Faparusi, a former Commissioner for Infrastructure and Public Utilities in Ekiti State, gave assurance that various economic policies of the federal government would in no distant time yield positive results, noting that prices of food items had drastically reduced compared to what was obtainable before the present administration of President Bola Tinubu.
He said subsidy removal for instance, had encouraged improved allocation to states across the country, with its positive impacts being felt all over the country on majorly infrastructural facilities.
The All Progressives Congress Chieftain urged Nigerians to have implicit confidence in Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, saying that the outcome of the coming elections, both at the state and national levels, would be credible.
On the crisis dogging the Electoral Laws’ amendments at the Senate, Faparusi added that the National Assembly had done the best by proposing that the coming elections should be electronically transmitted with a caveat that areas with network glitches should fall back on manual collation of results through form EC8A.
