One thousand, Four hundred (1400) 2023 batch A stream Two corps members deployed to Ekiti State have been sworn-in with an appeal to them to be of good conduct and participate actively in all the camp activities.
During the ceremony held at NYSC permanent Orientation camp in Ise/Orun/Emure Ekiti, the state coordinator, Mrs Mary Chikezie told the corps members to shun wrong use of social media, politcal discussions, cultism, drug abuse, gambling, drunkenness as well as other negative devices within and outside the camp.
The NYSC state coordinator who implored the Corps members to be law abiding, said the management would not hesitate to sanction anyone found wanting.
Be informed that any corps member who violate the rules and regulations will be punished as the camp court will be constituted in no distance time…Mrs Chikezie said.
While describing the orientation course as preparatory stage, Mrs Chikezie said it was designed to equip the youths with necessary knowledge, skills and ability to transit into larger society.
Mrs Chikezie who enjoined the corps members to take all lectures on skills acquisition Programme serious in order to have knowledge on job creation, also applauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his regular support for the scheme, most especially in the area of meal subsidy in the camp.
In his address, Governor Biodun Oyebanji said Ekiti state had benefited much from the scheme in the areas of health, education, agriculture and infrastructural development, urging the new corps members to be focused.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sport Development, Mrs Tola Faseluka, the Governor promised that his administration would continue to support the scheme.
He used the opportunity to appreciate the Corps members for their contributions to the successful conduct of this year’s general election.

Governor Oyebanji equally congratulated the corps members for successful completion of their academic pursuits which qualified them to be called-up for NationaI Service.
The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice John Adeyeye who administered the oath on the corps members through Justice Blessing Ajileye, warned that anyone caught violating the oath would be punished in line with the law of NYSC.
