A furniture shop owner, Mr Olatunde Kayode has called on government and well meaning individuals to come to his aid following a fire which destroyed goods worth millions of naira in his shop.
The shop, located in front of a commercial Bank, in Olokemeji area of Ado Ekiti was said to have been engulfed by fire on Sunday night when electricity was restored to the area.
Lamenting his ordeal, Mr Olatunde Kayode explained that the cause of the incident might be an electric surge saying that different machines including an industrial generator and other goods were lost to the fire.
He however called for the help of the Ekiti State government and other compassionate individuals in the state to help him get back on his feet as the furniture shop was his only source of livelihood.
