It was carnival-like scene in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Capital as leaders, political appointees and members of All Progressives Congress APC as well as well-wishers converged on Fajuyi Pavilion to endorse Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye to run for second term in office.
The Fajuyi pavilion was filled to the brim with lovers of the Governor across the three senatorial Districts of the state despite the fact that the programme was organised for those at the central senatorial District under the leadership of a former Deputy Governor, Professor Modupe Adelabu.
Speaking at the event , Chairman of APC Elders’ forum in Ekiti Central and former Deputy Governor of the State, Professor Modupe Adelabu explained that the programme was put together to celebrate Governor Oyebanji and endorse him for second term due to his outstanding performances.
Also, Senate leader, representing Ekiti Central at the Red Chamber, Opeyemi Bamidele said that the programme became necessary to tell the entire world the decision of leaders and members of APC in Ekiti Central that Governor Oyebanji should be allowed to run again in order to deliver more dividends of good governance.
Others who spoke including Chief Ronke Okusanya from Efon, former House of Representatives Member, Mrs Wunmi Ogunlola from Ijero, House of Representatives Member, Mr Sola Fatoba and Senator Babafemi Ojudu from Ado Ekiti supported the endorsement and commended Governor Oyebanji for his positive impact across the State.
In his response, Governor Biodun Oyebanji who appreciated the organisers for the confidence reposed in him to run for second term in office, thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support which had empowered him to change the face of Ekiti state for better.
