Restore our light, Residents of Araromi-Ijero appeal to BEDC.

By Anthony Ojo.

Residents of Araromi-Ekiti in Ijero local government have appealed to the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC Ido district to find solution to the issue of power outage in the town.

Speaking with a Progress FM reporter, one of the community leaders, Chief Stephen Niran-Ojo said the town had been in black out for close to three weeks without any action by men of the BEDC.

Also speaking, the Ojumu of Araromi-Ekiti, Chief Samuel Atewogbola noted that the power outage had affected their social lives, adding that it is not convenient for most of them to afford petrol to run generating sets.

Chiefs Niran-Ojo and Atewogbola pleaded with the BEDC officials to as a matter of urgency rectify the problem preventing Araromi-Ekiti in Ijero local government and other neighbouring communities from enjoying electricity in order to get value for the service they paid for.
