The House of Representatives says it is working towards joint ticket for governorship elections and reserve seats for Nigerian women in the National Assembly. Speaker of the House, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas made this known at the International Legislative Dialogue on Women in Abuja.He noted that research had shown that organisations and countries benefit from better decision-making, stronger economic growth and enhanced social well-being when women hold leadership roles.
