The leadership and entire members of Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) Ekiti State Council rejoice with all the new appointees of the government of Ekiti State and especially, our veritable leaders among the lot. RATTAWU is super excited at the decision of the Governor to appoint one of us as a Special Adviser and giving the two ministries that supervises the activities of our members, namely the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Arts and Culture qualified, competent and highly experienced commissioners.
The Union in a Press Statement signed by the Chairman Comrade Jasper Taiwo FALAE and the Secretary, Comrade Ayodele OGUNMILADE expressed appreciate to the governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi OYEBANJI for the appointment of a former RATTAWU Chairman, Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State Chapter, Hon. Com. Yemisi AYOKUNLE as Special Adviser Social Investment Programmes, a position the Union believes she will excel.
RATTAWU equally expressed gratitude to the governor for appointing what it called “round pegs in round holes” in the persons of “Prof. Ojo Bakare, a Professor of Dance who distinguished himself on the same seat with multiple awards as the Commissioner for Arts and Culture and the media and Public Relations guru, Rt. Hon. Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun who was also a successful Commissioner in the same office years back as the Commissioner for Information”.
While extoling the virtues of the trio, the union is upbeat that new appointees will further enhance the already credible government run by Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. The media and cultural body didn’t mince words in describing the governor by saying “the act of identifying good hands to man different ministries and agencies of government underscores the resolve of Mr. Governor to lead an impactful tenure in Ekiti State. We are undaunted that the quality and copious experiences of these individuals in their respective assignments will guide them to a super fruitful tenure in office, in line with the rules of engagement from the People’s Governor”.
