The leadership of Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union, *RATTAWU* Ekiti State Council has showered encomium on the leadership strides of President Muhammadu Buhari and Dr. Kayode Fayemi in steering the affairs of the Nation and Ekiti State respectively especially during this trying period.
This was contained in a Press Statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Com. Taiwo Jasper Falae and the Secretary, Com. Ayodele Ogunmilade on the occasion of 61st Independence Anniversary of the Nation and 25th Creation Anniversary of Ekiti State.
The Union used the opportunity to appreciate the traditional, military and political leaders, business tycoons and technocrats for the roles played in actualising the Nation’s Independence and creation of the State.
RATTAWU did not forget to specially appreciate it’s members in mainstream media and cultural sector for the heroic roles they played in holding on tightly, the fragile bonds of unity of the National in the 61 years of nationhood and in promoting the giant inherent qualities of Ekiti State in it’s 25 years of existence.
The foremost union leaders in the statement appeal to all Nigerians to be very patient with the governments at all levels and be very patrotic especially as the nation is passing through a difficult time with ravaging economic, security and health challenges.
The union prayed that the grace of Almighty that sustained the nation in the past months that was particularly pandemic-ravaged will see us through all other challenges confronting the nation and guide us into more prosperous years ahead .
