The former Manager Programmes of Radio Nigeria Progress FM, Ado Ekiti, Dr. Bola Agbaje has been appointed as the new General Manager of the station.
Dr. Agbaje, a member of NUJ, Ekiti State Council, was officially unveiled by the Zonal Director of Radio Nigeria, Ibadan Zonal Station, Mr. Dominic Mokikan.
At the ceremony held at the Unions’ Building, Progress FM premises, Ado Ekiti, the Zonal Director, Mr Dominic Mokikan urged members of staff to cooperate with her to achieve success.
He equally charged the new GM to be a mother to all and consolidate on the achievements of her predecessor.
The programme was well attended by members of staff of the corporation.
Dr Adebola Agbaje took over from Mr. Dokun Ladele who has been transferred to Gold FM, Iloko Ijesa, Osun State.
Addressing members of staff, the new GM, Dr Adebola Agbaje thanked God for the privilege to serve and promised to adopt all necessary strategies to sustain the legacy of the station.
She sought the support of members of staff to succeed.
Meanwhile, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela has congratulated the new GM, Dr Adebola Agbaje, wishing her all the best.
Com. Ojomoyela expressed happiness at the rate in which Dr. Agbaje is excelling in her career as a broadcaster.
He prayed God to guide her to achieve success in the new task.
The new General Manager who hails from Ibadan is also the President Ibadan Elites Ekiti State, IBEES.
Her husband, Mr Steve Agbaje is the General Manager of Radio Nigeria Amuludun FM, Ibadan, Oyo State.
