…Canvasses support for Oyebanji
Former Governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayodele Fayose has appealed to stakeholders in the political space to always put the interest of the state above any other partisan consideration to cultural belief and development of the state.
The former Governor made the appeal in Ado Ekiti during a visit to Governor Biodun Oyebanji at Governor’s office to sympathize with him and the people of the state over the demise of the speaker, House of Assembly, Mr Funminiyi Afuye.
Mr Fayose said politics should be practiced with high sense of decency and maturity it deserved and urged the political class to support the present administration of Biodun Oyebanji to develop the state.
He stressed that Governor Oyebanji won the last election with wide margin based on his popularity and acceptability and urged him to close ranks with those who were aggrieved in the overall interest of the state.
Mr Fayose further stated that as a Leader, he would continue to support any government in power irrespective of party affiliation just as the development of Ekiti state should be a collective responsibly.
Responding, Governor Biodun Oyebanji appreciated the former Governor for his passionate about the state and urged him to continue to offer useful advice to make the state a pride of place.
The Governor noted that his election was divine and gave assurance to fulfill his electioneering promises to justify the mandate given to him.
The Governor also received the Minister of State for Transportation Prince Ademola Adegoroye who was in the state to congratulate the Governor for his emergence as the state helms man
