Public Complaint Commission Inaugurates Its Virtual Platform in Ekiti

As part of Federal Government’s drive to achieve the core objectives of the Nigeria National Broadband Plan, among which is enhancing digital economy, the Public Complaint Commission has inaugurated a virtual platform in its Ekiti State office.

The Chief Commissioner of Public Complaint Commission PCC, Mr Chille Igbawua who inaugurated the e-platform at the commission’s office in Ado Ekiti said the step was to promote electronic communication in carrying out its mandates.

Mr Igbawua noted that the move by the commission was geared towards aligning with the best global practices and coping with the reality that the outbreak of the corona virus had brought.

He explained that the downturn in the economy of the country had affected the performance of the commission but had received a boost through the committment of the present administration in ensuring that every government’s agency function effectively.

The Chief Commissioner who was a former member of the House of Representatives said the virtual platform would afford the commission to hold both internal and international virtual meetings and receive complaints from members of the public without having to travel hundreds of kilometers.

Mr Igbawua who commended members of staff in Ekiti state for their diligence advised them to shun all acts of indiscipline and remain dedicated to their duties as the leadership of the commission was working assiduously to provide a more conducive working environment and better welfare package.

In a remark, the Federal Commissioner of Public Complaint Commission in Ekiti State, Mr Yemi Arokodare expressed joy that such laudable gadget was launched during his tenure and promised that the virtual platform would be effectively put into use.

Mr Arokodare said the commission remained committed to receiving peoples complaints and forwarding such for legislative deliberations at National Assembly.
