President Tinubu invites labour Leaders for Talks on Minimum Wage

President Bola Tinubu has invited leadership of the organised labour consisting of the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress to a meeting at the Aso Villa on Thursday.

One of the Labour leaders who craved anonymity made this known to journalists on Wednesday in Abuja.

According to him, Tinubu is willing to settle the lingering talks on minimum wage on Thursday and he has invited the joint union presidents to a meeting

Organised labour had demanded two hundred and fifty thousand naira as minimum wage for Nigerian workers while the tripartite Committee recently recommended sixty two thousand naira as minimum wage in its report the Committee submitted to the president.
