President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s footballers who won awards at the CAF Football Awards Night in Marrakech, Morocco.
The commendation was contained in a statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
President Tinubu commended the players for their outstanding performance on both National and International stages, describing them as sources of pride to the Nation and inspiration to young footballers across the country and continent.
The Nigerian Leader said the awards has strengthen his belief that with hard work, perseverance and favour of God, everything would work well for Nigeria.
He commended football lovers and all Nigerians for standing by the award winners with a prayer that the development would herald more successes to come.
Victor Osimhen, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie and the Super Falcons were all given awards in different categories at the ceremony.
