Gunmen in the early hours of today struck in Ado Ekiti, killing a popular Point of Sale , POS operator, known as Alfa Taofeek.
According to report, the incident happened at the shop of the victim, located adjacent the gate of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
The gunmen who came on a motorbike shot and killed Alfa Taofeek and made away with his money including other valuables.
A source who pleaded anonymity told newsmen that Alfa was just opening his shop after dropping his kids in school when the men of the underworld struck.
Alfa Taofeek is well known in the area with the display of bread on his vehicle.
His corpse was said to have been deposited at the morgue of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital by the police.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Mr Sunday Abutu who confirmed the incident, said that investigation had commenced on the matter.
Two gunmen on motorcycle had on Tuesday this week shot dead a ticketer of the Okada Riders Association, Omoyajowo Samuel at Okesa Area of Ado Ekiti.
