Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three persons in connection with the clash between rival cult groups in Ikere Ekiti.
The Police Public Relations Officers, Mr. Sunday Abutu announced this in an interview with Progress FM.
He said five people lost their lives to the fracas and their bodies have been deposited in the morgue.
The incident occurred on Saturday night as a result of reprisal attacks.
Mr. Abutu who urged residents of Ikere Ekiti not to panic over the incident said the command has deployed surveillance in the town to beef up security.
