Peoples’ Votes will count -says Ekiti REC

Ekiti state INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Ayobami Salami has assured the people of the state that the outcome of the state Assembly election results conducted today will be acceptable to all.

The REC gave the assurance while monitoring the exercise at some polling units in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

Professor Salami who announced that Peoples’ votes would count, expressed the hope that turn out of voters will improve as the exercise continues.

He applauded electorate for being orderly, urging them to sustain the tempo.

Some of the electorates confirmed early arrival of materials to polling units.

Radio Nigeria reporter observed that security men were on ground in all the polling units visited to maintain law and order.
