PDP Secretary, Youth Leader resign

Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has received the resignation letter of its State Secretary, Abdulrazaq Lawal.

The State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Prince Tunji Moronfoye, said in a statement in Ilorin that Alhaji Lawal, in a letter addressed to the state party chairman and made public, resigned his position as the state Secretary of the party citing personal reasons.

“We have been notified and received the resignation letter of Alhaji Razaq Lawal as the state secretary of the party.

“We all appreciate his services and wish him well in his future endeavours,” Moronfoye said

Similarly, another member of the Kogi State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Stephen Onoji has resigned his membership of the party.

Until his resignation, Onoji was the Kogi State PDP Youth Leader.

In a letter addressed to his Ward Chairman, Odolu Ward 6, Odolu, in Igalamela Odolu LGA, dated Wednesday July, 19th, Onoji appreciated the party for the opportunity and privileges while he served as member of the Party.

Since Senator Dino Melaye emerged candidate of the PDP for the November governorship election, the opposition Party has been battling with crisis.

Many prominent PDP stakeholders in Kogi State have tendered their resignation letters, as they continued to express their grievances over the outcome of the governorship primary which produced Melaye as the party’s candidate for November 11,2023 election in the state.
