Oyebanji’s wife gives cash, other items to first baby … tasks parents on proper upbringing.

Wife of Ekiti State Governor Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has doled out cash gifts and other necessary materials to the first baby of the year in the state.

The baby girl was born at 12 midnight to the family of a bricklayer Mr Gbenga Adeyemo 38 and a trader, Mrs Oluwatoyin Adeyemo 32.

At the comprehensive Health centre Oke yard Ise-Ekiti, the wife of the Governor noted that the gifts was part of initiative geared towards assisting the family of the new born baby.

“There is nothing I can give that can be enough for the up keep of the baby but just to start up. Parental effort towards every child’s upbringing is quite imperative and such should be done with conscious efforts. She said.

She also appreciated the efforts of the officials of the health centre for the good work being carried out on the delivery of the babyand urged them continue in that direction.

Earlier, the officer in charge of the comprehensive health centre, Mrs Yetunde salami said the baby weight is 3.0 kilograms saying that she is healthy.

In a response the father of the baby, Mr Gbenga Adeyemo thanked the Governor’s wife for the cash gifts and baby materials donated and prayed for success of the present administration.

Similarly, the Governor’s wife was at the state University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, where she donated cash and gift items to the family of Mr Toba Owoeye whom God blessed triplets last week.

She congratulated the couple and told them to explore the state government’s Education Investments fund for twins and triplets.

Mr Toba Owoeye who said he had three children before the triplets, requested the assistance of the governor’s wife in securing job for himself and his wife.
