Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has assented to the 2024 Appropriation Act of over N159.5 72 billion as passed by the State House of Assembly.
He signed the budget at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Ado Ekiti, where he attributed the expeditious passage of the bill into law to the harmonious relationship between the Executive and the Legislature in the state.
Governor Oyebanji said the budget christened “Budget of sustainable growth and development”, would be implemented to the letter for the benefit of Ekiti people, as he thanked the house for the timely passage.
He said Ekiti is one of the first states in the country to have signed the 2024 appropriation budget into law, calling on the house to give more support to the executive in the coming year.
The speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye said the house worked on the bill meticulously in the interest of the Ekiti people.
In his remarks, the speaker who explained that the budget aligned with the overall need of the people, said the house would continue to work in harmony with the state executive towards achieving mutual prosperity Agenda of the present administration.
