Ondo Police Command Parades Suspected Killers of Naval Officer

Three Persons have been arrested on connection with the killing of a Naval Sub-Lieutenant, Akingbohun Samuel Ayomide at Idoani in Ose local government area of Ondo State.

The Suspects have also been paraded before newsmen by the Ondo State Police Command in Akure, the State capital on Thursday.

Parading the suspects, the spokesperson for the Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, disclosed that the suspects were arrested while trying to flee the community after allegedly attacked and killed the Naval officer, named Akingbohun Samuel Ayomide.

Confessing to the attack, one of the suspects, Sambo Ayomide, 20year-old, explained that the late Sub-Lieutenat Akingbohun Ayomide was beaten and hit with a rod after a minor disagreement on road.

The suspect said the officer was beaten this week Monday because they thought he was a fake naval man, noting that they did not have intention of killing him.

However, the Police Spokesperson disclosed that it took joint efforts to get the suspects arrested, adding that they would be charged to Court next week Monday for immediate prosecution.
