The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers, has appealed to politicians in the state to sustain the peace and stop blood letting as witnessed in Omuo Ekiti during the last Saturday’s bye-election for Ekiti East constituency one.
The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti and Chairman of the State Traditional Council, Oba Ajibade Alabi made the appeal while addressing newsmen in Ilawe Ekiti.
He urged people of Ekiti state to play politics without bitterness and killings.
The monarch stressed that Ekiti could not afford to become a theatre of war because of any election.
The chairman, council of Obas noted the gruesome killings that took place during the election was unnecessary and condemnable.
He commiserated with the families of the deceased, praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Alawe advised Security agents to prosecute those arrested in connection with the killings in OMUO EKITI, urging the people of the community to remain calm and maintain the peace.
