The Olora of Oke-Ora Ekiti in Ido/Osi Local Government area of Ekiti State, Oba Peteru Daramola has emphasized the need for yoruba race to be proud of their culture and traditions as such would endear it into the generations to come.
He gave the advice in an interview with Progress FM Reporter in Ora Ekiti.
The monarch noted that celebrating the traditions of the land always engender ancestral blessings hence the need to accord it priority.
“Here in Oke-Ora Ekiti, I celebrate the Agbaludi, festival annually which is connecting us with our origin, Ile-Ife and it enable me to bring together all the sons and daughters of the community. We dine and wine and delibrate on how to develop our dear town”.
“During the festival, we also render prayers for peace and progress of Oke-Ora”.
Oba Daramola who pointed out that developmental project cannot be handled alone by government called indigenes to contribute their quotas by investing on things that would enhance social amenities.
“The era of saying one old woman in my community will kill me has passed. I always tell my people, you are free to come home and build houses and industries. No one will can kill anybody” the monarch concluded.
