Ohanaeze Pledges Loyalty to Tinubu, Wants its Demands Examined.

President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu has declared the support and loyalty of Igbo Community, to the government of President Bola Tinubu.

Chief Iwuanyawu made the declaration on Saturday, 16th December, 2023 when he visited Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu in his palace.

The Ohanaeze leader emphasized that Igbos are committed to the allegiance and loyalty to the President, acknowledging him as President of one indivisible Nigeria.

Chief Iwuanyawu however pleaded for understanding and support from President Tinubu in addressing the legitimate concerns of the Igbo Community, saying what they wanted have always been Justice, fairness and equity.

The Igbo businessman also used the opportunity to dispel the misconception concerning the relationship between Igbo and Yoruba, saying there is no rift between the two ethnic groups.

He called for continued peaceful co-existence and respect for the rule of law among Nigerians and he emphasized the importance of upholding the age-long traditions and values of various groups in the country.

In his reaction, the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu said Lagosians and indeed the Yorubas believed in the value of forming alliances and maintaining peace with other people, with emphasis on those in Lagos prospering to contribute to the progress of their environment and the Nation at large.

Oba Akiolu expressed the hope that the current leadership will favour everyone, noting that it is a matter of time before all the efforts of the present government come to fruition.
