President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has congratulated Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen over his emergence as the best African Footballer in 2023.
Alhaji Gusau also commended Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala for winning the women footballer of the year award, Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for becoming Africa’s best in 2023 and the Super Falcons for emerging Africa’s best Women’s team.
Speaking moments after the awards ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, Alhaji Gusau said he was very excited over the development, saying it is hugely rewarding for Nigerian Football.
He advised the awardees to continue to do their best and keep improving, adding that the sky can only be their starting point.
The NFF Supremo personally came out to collect the first award given to Nigeria on the night, the best Women National Team in 2023, presented to the Super Falcons.
