NEW OLORIN OF ORIN EKITI RECEIVES STAFF OF OFFICE

Traditional Rulers in Ekiti State have been urged to create a conducive atmosphere for meaningful development in their domains in order to leave enduring legacy for incoming generations.

Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi made this known while presenting the Instrument and Staff of Office to new Olorin of Orin Ekiti, Oba Oluwafemi Adeniran Ajibewa at conference Hall, Governor’s office Ado-Ekiti.

Governor Fayemi who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi said that Traditional stool was a sensitive position which requires wisdom, diligence, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Governor Fayemi who noted that unprecedented achievements could only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and unity, called on the need Traditional Rulers to seek the cooperation of their subjects.

The Ekiti State Governor, urged the people of Orin Ekiti to sheath their swords and join hands to elevate the community.

In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Chieftancy Affairs, Mr Adeniyi Familoni observed that the State Executive Council approved the appointment of new Olorin of Orin Ekiti, having fulfill due process.

In his acceptance speech, the New Olorin of Orin Ekiti, Oba Oluwafemi Adeniran Ajibewa noted that his enthronement is a call to service and pledged to be fair to everyone.

Oba Ajibewa said his palace would be a market of ideas for meaningful growth.

The Olorin of Orin Ekiti however called on Government to construct the road linking the community with other towns and villages, adding that Orin Ekiti is endowed with mineral resources which could boost the state economy if harnessed.
