The new Elepe of Epe-Ekiti in Ijero local government, Oba Ayodeji Williams Adesoye has ascended the throne following his installation and visit to designated places in the town.
While speaking, the Ejemoye of Epe, Chief Olajide Dada said during one of the rites, the King chose salt which according to tradition symbolises that his reign will bring peace and development.
Chief Dada noted that the traditional rites would run for three months while people would be paying homage to the king for the next seven days.
Two members of the family of the monarch, Mr. Adenipo Adesoye and Adefisayo Adesoye expressed optimism that Epe-Ekiti would witness tremendous growth during the tenure of the new King.Also speaking, the Obalogbo of Epe, Chief Ilesanmi Agboola and Mr Isaac Olowolaju urged indigenes of the town to support the King to achieve success.
In an interview, the Elepe of Epe-Ekiti in Ijero council area, Oba Ayodeji Williams Adesoye promised that the town would not lag behind in terms of development and peace.
Oba Adesoye expressed happiness to God and the people of the community for making his installation a reality.
