As part of measures to prevent road crashes in this yuletide, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has embarked on accident free campaign tagged “Eagle Eyes” nationwide.
The campaign is being carried out in collaboration with other stakeholders including Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigeria Civil Defence Corps as well as Federal and State Fire Service.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, Progress FM in Ado Ekiti, NEMA Zonal Operation Coordinator in charge of Ekiti, Mr. Adefolayan Olusegun noted that there was usually heavy vehicular movement towards the end of the year, hence the sensitization for all road users to exercise caution.
Mr. Olusegun who advised motorists to comply with speed limit urged all road users to obey the traffic rules to avoid accident during the festive period.
He noted that rescue measure had been put in places to assist victim in case of accident.
