Middle Aged Man Found Dead In Ekiti

A middle-aged man identified as Tunde Akindunbi has been found dead under a mango tree in Dallimore area of Ado-Ekiti.

Progress FM reporter who visited the scene gathered that the incident happened in the middle of the night this Friday, after a fight between the deceased and his girlfriend.

While speaking, a cousin of the deceased, Mrs Yetunde Akindunbi said that Tunde was living with his girlfriend and her mother in Dallimore, saying, there have been series of fight between the two of them.

Mrs Akindunbi alleged that the victim was reportedly murdered after which his killers used belt to tie his neck to the mango tree, to appear as if he committed suicide.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Sunday Abutu said investigations would be carried out to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of Tunde who, until his death was a commercial Driver.

It was reliably gathered that some arrests have been made in connection to the incident and that some traditional rites would be performed before the corpse is buried.
