A member of the Methodist Church Nigeria in Ekiti State, Asiwaju Oyedeji Olajubu has donated a five bedroom apartment for the use of the church.
Handing over the building to the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Kanu-Uche who was on a visit to Ekiti State, Asiwaju Olajubu said he donated the house to serve as Bishop’s court for the proposed Ado-Ekiti Diocese.
Asiwaju Olajubu who is a Knight of John Wesley explained that the gesture was in honour and memory of his late wife, Lady Olufunke Olajubu who died early this year.
The Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr Samuel Kanu-Uche commended the donour, describing such step as a way of propagating the Gospel of God.
Dr. Kanu-Uche urged Nigerians to cultivate the habit of giving, especially to the needy in the society.
In an interview, the Bishop, Methodist Church, Ifaki Diocese, Right Reverend Sunday Aluko appreciated Asiwaju Oyedeji Olajubu for his contributions towards the growth of the church.
