Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has charged medical practitioners on proper counseling of patients on importance of proper drug medication after health care services.
Dr Oyebanji gave the charge at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Ado-Ekiti during a private visit to a patient at the Hospital.
According to the First Lady, some patient do relax mediations after their discharge from hospital which could result into complications and worsen their health condition, hence the need for the awareness.
While extending the visit to other patients in the Endocrinology ward of the hospital, the Governor’s wife offset medical bills of some patients and prayed for their quick recovery.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Professor Olabanji Ojo thanked the Governor’s wife for the visit and pleadged the commitment of the health institution’s workers to improved service delivery.
The beneficiaries included, Mrs Falusi Mojisola, 56 years who had spent two months at the hospital and Mrs Bello Folashade 55years, both receiving treatment on diabetes .
They appreciated the First Lady for the kind gesture and pray that God would grant her and her husband a successful tenure in office.
